What professional background do you have to provide Reiki for Animals?

I have been a Reiki Master Teacher since February 2022. I completed Reiki I in Oct. 2020, and Reiki II in April 2021. I studied with Kathleen Prassad, who is known worldwide for her unique Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki. Here is her website and more information:  https://animalreikisource.com/animal-reiki-information/what-is-animal-reiki/

Are Distance/Remote sessions as effective as in person sessions?

Absolutely! Because Reiki is energy and not limited to time or space, it can be offered in-person or from a distance. The energy is equally effective in both instances. I believe that distant sessions are actually more effective in most cases, especially with fearful/anxious/unwell animals. Imagine if a complete stranger came into your home/your physical space and wanted to connect energetically? You might be very well be wary and uncomfortable. I believe that animals are much more comfortable, relaxed and receptive to a Reiki session when they're at home with their favorite person. I can also send Distance Reiki to future or past situations, circumstances, and specific events.

Please pick one or more animals for me to focus on and send me a picture(s) at tina@oneloveanimalreiki.com or text to 503-933-5063.

I don't need to know if anything is "wrong" with the animal, as I create a healing space for them to step into.

Let your animal know that I will be doing a distance Reiki session at the appointed time.

Simply be with your animal in a quiet, relaxed space where you won’t be disturbed.

If you’re unable to be with your animal during the session, please make sure that they are in a safe, quiet space during the scheduled appointment time.

What should I expect during an Animal Reiki session?

Signs of relaxation (yawning, deep relaxed breathing, sleeping)

The shift in energy created by Animal Reiki may at first startle some pets, especially if they are skittish or have experienced trauma.

What will an Animal Reiki session feel like for my animal?

The Animal Reiki experience is unique for each animal but feelings of deep relaxation are common. Many animals smile, yawn, lick or kiss, roll over to offer their belly, stretch, or fall asleep when receiving Reiki. Basically, they simply relax and enjoy the wonderful feeling because they feel better.

In the energetic space of healing, all possibilities exist, and common healing effects are signs of peace, well-being and relaxation during treatment that lead to physical, emotional and/or spiritual improvement and healing.

What Does Animal Reiki Do For Energy Blockages?

When an animal's energy flow is blocked, their body's natural internal self-healing system functions at a slower rate. Energy healing helps animals to possibly remove energetic blocks and maintain good flow throughout their field, thereby facilitating their body to function at its "optimum" self-healing capacity. In essence, energy healing like Animal Reiki speeds up their body's innate ability to heal itself.

An animal's energy field expands to include his/her physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects. All are interrelated and affect one another. Animals are "whole" beings. In this respect, energy healing works to support our beloved animal friends in their healing on many different levels and in many different circumstances.

Is Reiki based on religion?

No, Reiki is not a religion based healing and does not require a belief system to work. The only requirement is that the animal is willing to accept help. In its simplest form, Reiki/Animal Reiki is the use of positive intent to bring about healing and willing for Reiki energy to flow.

Does Animal Reiki have any negative side effects?

None
